I LOVE capturing extended families for a billion reasons! Let me tell you why! This inquiry came in and upon consultation, I learned that this family & I had some pretty special connections! Lindsey reached out to me and as it turns out, her husband, Toby, is from VERDIGRE! My hometown! I've known his entire family my whole life! In fact, Toby's dad, Doug, was my P.E. teacher growing up! It doesn't stop there! Lindsey's mom, Julie, is from Creighton, just up the road from Verdigre! How cool is that?! I hear that having grandkids is THE BEST! Steve & Julie have a pretty cool group here and you can see how proud they are! Here are Steve & Julie's four grown kids with their families. We had a lot of laughs coordinating these groups! This family was truly so much fun!
I felt very comfortable with them and with all of these sweet connections, how could I not?! As children get older and things change, it gets more difficult to get families together. That being said, when families are together, it is so special! And that's where priceless photos come in! Thank you again to this nice family!

This session and these people are dear to my heart. The happy faces you see here are anxiously awaiting the birth of their third child! I met Jenny a few years back with I was a sub at the school. We have this connection no parent ever really wanted, but we now have it because we have both lost a baby. I knew I wanted to get to know Jenny when I heard about her loss. When I experienced losing my daughter, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful souls who were there to comfort me. (you know who you are and you are forever in my heart) Jenny & I talked and we got to know each other. Talking to her, hearing her story, and even sharing mine, provided comfort and healing to both of us. Fast forward to (almost) 4 years later, this precious family soon gets to meet baby #3, and will be welcomed by parents, Tim & Jenny, big brother Isaiah, and heavenly sister, Ally. The sweet teddy bear pictured here is "Ally Bear" according to proud big brother, Isaiah. Someone is very excited to meet his baby sister! Understanding the "why" is never easy. Only God knows the plan and with faith, we can find peace. Seeing the joy and feeling the love of this family, warms my heart!
I'm blessed to know them and honored to capture this special time. |
